British Rowing has signed a new long-term partnership with Pulsant to create a platform for an effective IT system.
With a history as one of Great Britain’s most successful Olympic Sports, creating champions across the UK, British Rowing is joining in partnership with Cloud Solutions Company Pulsant to develop an effective and secure IT system using the Cloud.
Pulsant will design and host a platform for British Rowing’s IT systems, including data performance data storage, legal systems and numerous online membership services.
The partnership hopes to modernise British Rowing’s technology systems and increase in size, raising
the standards of the current system. This will also support the aims within British Rowing’s new data protection regulation, implemented in 2018.
As well as improving the current system British Rowing uses, they will also utilise Pulsant’s expertise in Cloud Security to put in place safety precautions to reduce IT risks and security breaches.
British Rowing is the first sports organisation to form a partnership with Pulsant as the Cloud Provider looks to move into different sectors.
Harvey Davies, British Rowing’s Head of Technology said: “We are delighted to be working with Pulsant over this Olympic and Paralympic cycle. Data is an increasingly important commodity in the development of our athletes and in the delivery of medal winning performances. Knowing we have a platform that provides a secure and reliable environment, in which we can store and analyse that data, will be a key component in delivering success in Tokyo and beyond.”
As well as the cloud system partnership, Pulsant will be the official presenting partner of the new British Rowing Business Network, which is due to launch later this year at an event in Central London.
Rob Davies, Sales and Marketing Director, Pulsant said: “We are delighted to have partnered with British Rowing, an organisation with such a successful and prestigious history, and we are looking forward to supporting the rowing community. What’s more, the new cloud-based IT solution we are delivering to British Rowing will future-proof its operations for years to come, while also helping it achieve compliance with the GDPR legislation that comes into effect next year.”
