Companies House has conducted two digital open days to promote the organisation as a digital employer, where it showcased its digital transformation and explained the roles being planned in its digital teams.
The programme also provided an opportunity to show how the organisation works and the projects that it is currently working on.
Companies House expects the transformation programme to change the way it works and the way it offers services to its customers. It said that digital services will play a key role in the transformation.
More than 300 people attended the sessions at the Companies House office in Cardiff.
The sessions were intended to attract people already working in digital areas, as well as those looking for a new challenge or change in career.
Members from the digital teams discussed their roles and the use of agile principles and scrum methodology to deliver services.
The executive team members explained the vision for the future, how the teams focus on meeting customer needs, and how it translates into a collaborative and open culture where they challenge themselves to deliver the best services.
Companies House said that the attendees were also able to find out more about workplace benefits such as mobile and flexible working, as well as subsidised gym and canteen, and were taken on tours of the building to see the working environment.
Companies House director of digital Ross Maude said: “The digital open days were an opportunity for people to get a better understanding of the fantastic work happening here at Companies House.
“It was also an opportunity to see the brilliant people we have working here representing everything our cultural change is aspiring to achieve.”
Over the next few months, Companies House will be advertising vacancies in the digital teams, including roles in product management, interaction design, user research, software development, testing, architecture, DevOps and infrastructure.
It said that interested candidates can find more information about upcoming digital opportunities in Companies House on the Civil Service Jobs website.
